The archive is a very popular and bandwidth hungry service. We regularly reach our purchased capacity. We are pushing well over 1.3 Gigabits per second and it's basically a flat line with only a slight dip in the 3am PST range.

Some bar napkin math... at 1.3 Gigabits/second and a stream rate of ~128Kbits/sec that's about 10,156 people listening to streams. In reality, of course, there is all sorts of other activity affecting this.
